Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)

Spend required to acquire one customer, usually marketing spend ÷ new customers.

What it means

Customer acquisition cost (CAC) measures how much it costs to win a customer. The simplest marketing form is marketing spend divided by customers acquired. Blended CAC often includes sales cost; channel CAC requires attributed customers, not platform-reported conversions alone.
